Grandma Run Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Grandma Run is a game by Dew Brook LLC for Android and Apple devices. This page explains what the app does with information. The short version: we do not collect personal information, your progress stays on your own device, and any ads are optional ones you choose to watch.

What stays on your device

The game saves your progress, player profiles and the names you type, settings, and family ghost-race times in the app's own storage on your phone or tablet. This information is not sent to us. Deleting the app's data deletes it from the device (see cloud saves below).

Optional rewarded ads

Grandma Run never shows ads on its own. In a few places you can choose to watch a short video ad for an in-game reward. If you never tap those buttons, no ad is shown. The ads come from Google AdMob. We set AdMob to show only non-personalized ads suitable for all ages, and we do not use ads to track you across other apps or websites. When an ad loads, AdMob may receive information from your device that it needs to show the ad, count it, and prevent fraud, such as your IP address (which gives a rough location), device and app information, and how you interacted with the ad. Google's handling of that information is described at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Paid unlocks

Some extra levels are one-time in-app purchases. Google Play or the Apple App Store handles the payment. We never see your card number, and the store's own privacy policy covers your payment information (Google, Apple). The app checks with the store on your device which levels were bought, so it can unlock them and let you restore them.

What we do not do

Grandma Run has no analytics tools of our own, no crash-reporting service, no Dew Brook accounts, and no chat. On Android, the game may sign you in to Google Play Games automatically so your progress can be saved to your own Google account (Play Games saved games). On Apple devices, saves use your iCloud. Dew Brook doesn't receive or store those saves. We do not sell or share your information, and we do not ask for location, contacts, camera, or microphone access.

Cloud saves and backups

So you don't lose your progress, the game can also save it to your own Google Play Games account on Android or your iCloud account on Apple devices. Your phone's own backup (Android backup or iCloud Backup) may include it too. Google and Apple store this data under their own privacy policies (Google, Apple). Dew Brook does not run its own servers and does not receive your saved progress.

To delete it, delete the game's data in your Google Play Games or Google Account settings, or in your iCloud settings on Apple devices, or delete the game and its data from your phone and its backup.

Purchases are tied to your Google Play or Apple account, not to the saved game. If you reinstall or get a new phone, use Restore Purchases in the game to get them back.

What Google and Apple tell us

Google Play and the App Store give us reports about our games: things like how many people visit the store page and download a game, sales totals, star ratings and reviews, and crash reports. These come from Google and Apple, not from code we add, and they are summaries that don't tell us who you are. Crash and usage reports only come from players who turned on sharing with app developers in their phone settings, and you can turn that off at any time (on Android, in your Google settings for usage and diagnostics; on iPhone, in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Share With App Developers).

Email

If you email support@dewbrook.com, we get your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you.

Who the game is for

Grandma Run is a general-audience game, made to be fun for all ages. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The game has no Dew Brook accounts, no chat, and no way to send messages or photos to other people. Rewarded ads are always optional and are set to be non-personalized. If you think a child's information reached us (for example, in an email to support), write to us and we will delete it.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA)

Dew Brook LLC does not sell or share personal information, as those words are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and does not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may ask to know what personal information we have about them, ask us to delete or correct it, and are free to use these rights without being treated differently. Because the game keeps your progress only on your device, we usually hold nothing about you except emails you send us. To make a request, email support@dewbrook.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. We may ask a question or two to confirm the request is yours.

Keeping and deleting data

Game progress stays on your device, and in your own Google Play Games or iCloud account and phone backup, until you delete it there. We keep support emails only as long as we need them to help you, and we delete them sooner if you ask.

Changes

If what the game collects changes, we will update this page and the date at the top before the new version is released.
